Mel McDaniel is an undergraduate research assistant in the Early Intervention Research Group. She is a third-year majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with a minor in Psychology. When volunteering for children with special needs, she became interested in childhood development. She plans to pursue a Master’s in Speech, Language, and Learning after graduation in hopes of becoming a SLP! Outside of class, Mel is also involved with the African American and Native American student groups at NU, and she enjoys reading books and trying new restaurants.
