Mary Solberg has practiced as a speech/language pathologist and special education teacher in the Chicago area for over 25 years. Her first five years in the field gave her a desire to teach reading to young children with speech/language and learning challenges. She completed the necessary graduate coursework and became a special education teacher at River Trails for the next seven years. Following this experience, she wanted to again provide speech therapy, but now to the age-group where she believed it had the most impact: toddlers and preschool-aged children. She became credentialed to provide speech therapy with early intervention in 2001. Since that time, Mary has been serving young children and families in early childhood special education and early intervention. She is very excited to join the RTW team and to help parents gain information and services for their children at the earliest possible time! In her free time, Mary enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her husband and three young adult children.
