Maggie is a master’s student in Northwestern’s Speech, Language, and Learning program. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2021 with a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders and minors in Spanish and Interdisciplinary Studies. She has been a longtime lover of research, competing in National History Day competitions in middle and high school, and eventually completing an undergraduate thesis in December of 2020 titled “Improving Bilingual Service Delivery: An Analysis of Bilingual Certification Programs for Speech-Language Pathologists.” She is excited to explore different aspects of the speech-language pathology field and find her passion. Along with her love of research, Maggie is also a National NSSLHA Student State Officer for the state of Illinois and enjoys engaging with students in CSD from across the country. In her free time, she enjoys reading, singing, and spending time with friends, family, and her cat, Rachel.
