Jordan is a licensed speech-language pathologist and PhD student at the Early Intervention Research Group. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy-neuroscience-psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, after which she received her master’s degree in speech, language, and learning at Northwestern. Jordan then worked as an SLP at an early intervention center for children with autism. The challenges she experienced in implementing evidence-based interventions with her families led Jordan to pursue a career in research. As a PhD student, Jordan is focused on optimizing interventions to fit the needs of each unique family, and discovering best practices to implement these interventions in the community. She is also passionate about improving the inclusion of Autistic perspectives in the research process. In her free time, Jordan enjoys running, baking, watching TV, and talking about TV.
