Maria Faciano, BS, DT
Developmental Therapist

Maria Faciano is a Spanish bilingual developmental therapist who has been working with young children in a variety of settings for the past 15 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Studies: Family and Individual Development, from Northern Illinois University. She has been working in early intervention since 2016. She is extremely passionate about working with families and children with special needs.

She believes strongly in making every single family she has the pleasure to work with feel empowered to be their child’s first and best teacher and to feel comfortable working through all of their concerns with their child through the power of coaching modeling. She believes that this can be done through making each family feel validated, supported without judgement and by using an empathic approach she can create trust and transparency within the therapeutic alliance.

Maria wanted to join the RTW project so that she can be part of the huge impact she believes this project will have in making a positive and much needed change with the current diagnostic system and with the current and future families’ part of the early intervention system.

Maria enjoys spending free time with her 5-year-old daughter, traveling and volunteering in her local community.
