Liane Thornhill completed her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the MGH Institute of Health Professions where she concentrated in early intervention and completed a Mind Body Health and Healing certificate. She completed her bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders and linguistics from Northwestern University. Prior to joining the EIRG team, Liane worked in the schools as an extended school year assistant teacher for children with language-based learning disabilities and social, emotional and behavioral challenges. She also conducted research on the roles of underlying cognitive-linguistic processes that support successful reading in children with developmental language disorders and/or dyslexia. Liane is passionate about using her academic, clinical, and research experiences to promote and increase early access to speech-language services—especially in marginalized, vulnerable, and/or underserved communities.
