Jenn is a 2007 graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania where she received her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. After a series of jobs in clinical settings, hospitals, schools, and early intervention, she determined that working in pediatrics was what she truly loved. Jenn has roughly 15 years of experience, with nearly 11 years being in pediatrics with continuing education in current developmental practices. She has experience in developing speech and language skills, assisting with oral motor and feeding skills, addressing articulation concerns, providing advice on parenting and behavioral issues as they relate to speech and language delays, and supporting family relationships in the home and community. She has worked with children with varying diagnoses and disorders including: speech and language delay, Apraxia of speech, stuttering, vision impairments, hearing impairments, Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, Cri du chat and neurological and genetic disorders such as Down syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. Jenn has worked with many premature infants and medically fragile pediatric clients as well. She is experienced in assessing the need for AAC developing and implementing low tech AAC systems, programming high tech assistive technology devices and educating children and families for their use. Jenn knows basic sign language. She has also worked with a number of bilingual children and is able to understand and speak minimal Spanish.
