Alana Glickman is a speech-language pathologist who is passionate about empowering parents to foster communication skills in their children. She graduated with her masters of science in speech-language pathology from the University of Arizona in Tucson, where she gained experience working with children of all ages with a variety of communication difficulties. She received her bachelors of science in psychology from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Alana spent several summers as a camp counselor at Camp Firefly, an overnight camp that is tailored towards children and adolescents with social differences, where she supported campers to develop independence and build friendships. In the years between her bachelors and masters programs, Alana worked as a research assistant and assessor at EIRG, where she discovered her passion for supporting young children to become effective communicators. She is excited to join up with the team again to continue making a difference in the lives of kids and families. In her free time, Alana enjoys arts and crafts activities, as well as running and swimming for exercise.
